Was there anyone that ever believed this story from the beginning? A black man, walking the streets of Chicago at 2 am, minding his own business, randomly attacked by two white people with ski masks pouring bleach on him, throwing a noose around his head, and yelling about “MAGA country.” The entire thing was clearly staged from the beginning as none of the facts or circumstances resemble anything close to reality.
Nonetheless, liberal celebrities and politicians rushed to the defense of d-list actor Jussie Smollett to play into the hoax and raise his acting profile. Honestly, before this incident, unless you were a fan of the show Empire, on Fox, you probably wouldn’t be able to pick Smollett out of a crowd. He was a supporting actor on the show hoping to use this race hoax as a means to become a cause celebre and improve his career.
Some people will ask why they should even care? This guy pulled a prank on himself, got caught, and that’s it. The problem is the way the media and Democratic politicians used Smollett to tar and feather Republicans. Smollett was praised for days afterward, held up as a martyr and an example of the evil hatred and bigotry of Trump voters. Now, these people need to be exposed and held to account for falling for the lie.
Smollett was found guilty on Wednesday by a Chicago jury on five felony counts of disorderly conduct and now faces up to 20 years in prison for the hoax:
Jussie Smollett was convicted Thursday of staging a hate crime nearly three years after he claimed two Trump-loving bigots beat him up, tied a noose around his neck and doused him in bleach in a misbegotten bid to raise his public profile.
Twelve jurors in Chicago criminal court found the disgraced actor guilty of five of six counts of felony disorderly conduct for filing a false police report following testimony from 13 witnesses and more than nine hours of deliberation.
As the jurors read out the verdict, Smollett, 39, stood huddled with his attorneys and kept his eyes trained on the panelists, remaining stoic as a phalanx of family members, who watched the eight-day trial from the front row of the gallery, sat frozen.
Smollett had the support of every a-list celebrity and politician from Michelle Obama to Nancy Pelosi, and everyone in between for being on the receiving end of Trump bigotry in deep-red “MAGA country” of Chicago:
The cream of liberal society, including President Joe Biden himself, have been mocked over old tweets backing Jussie Smollett in the wake of his conviction.
President Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris and a host of other liberal celebrities face questions over their tweets, backing Smollett on the same day as the alleged January 2019 attack, which he was convicted of faking on Thursday.
Hours after the staged beating Biden, then a presidential hopeful, tweeted: ‘What happened today to @jussiesmollett must never be tolerated in this country.
‘We must stand up and demand that we no longer give this hate safe harbor; that homophobia and racism have no place on our streets or in our hearts. We are with you, Jussie.’
Biden’s right, that racism and homophobia have no place on our streets, and it doesn’t exist like that except for inside Jussie Smollett’s twisted head. It’s people like Smollett who dream of being attacked for their skin color or sexual orientation. They dream of being held up as a victim in society at the hands of racist bigots. Smollett wanted it so badly, he created it for himself and tarnished the city of Chicago in the process, a city he claims to love and call his home.
This did not age well:
What happened today to @JussieSmollett must never be tolerated in this country. We must stand up and demand that we no longer give this hate safe harbor; that homophobia and racism have no place on our streets or in our hearts. We are with you, Jussie. https://t.co/o8ilPu68CM

Kamala Harris, a California Senator at the time, called the Smollett incident a “modern-day lynching”:
Meanwhile, Vice President Kamala Harris – who was then a California senator and presidential candidate – shared her own simpering tweet the very same day.
She wrote: ‘@jussiesmollett is one of the kindest, most gentle human beings I know. I’m praying for his quick recovery. This was an attempted modern day lynching. No one should have to fear for their life because of their sexuality or color of their skin. We must confront this hate.’
Yes, let’s confront this hate. It’s the hate that Smollett has for Republicans and Trump voters that he would concoct this scheme to attack his fellow Americans and call them bigots and racists. Let’s confront that hate.
Biden and Harris were not alone in the train of stupidity offering support for Smollett’s fake hate crime attack on himself:

We could go on for pages and pages of celebrities and politicians who quickly rushed to the defense of Smollett back in January of 2019 when the fake incident took place.
All these politicians used Smollet’s hate crime hoax as a hammer to bash Republicans, which is what was intended. However, thankfully for the country, the entire thing backfired and now there has been true justice served.
Smollett is a fraud and should apologize for the turmoil he inflicted on his city and his country. Instead, he has kept with the lie, and Black Lives Matter continues to back Smollett because they want to believe too:
Black Lives Matter is backing Jussie Smollett — who’s on trial for allegedly staging a hate crime attack — because “we can never believe the police,” a founder of the movement said in a statement.
“As abolitionists, we approach situations of injustice with love and align ourselves with our community,” Dr. Melina Abdullah, director of BLM Grassroots and co-founder of BLM Los Angeles, said in a Tuesday statement.
“In an abolitionist society, this trial would not be taking place, and our communities would not have to fight and suffer to prove our worth,” Abdullah said.
“In our commitment to abolition, we can never believe police, especially the Chicago Police Department (CPD) over Jussie Smollett, a Black man who has been courageously present, visible, and vocal in the struggle for Black freedom,” the statement continued.
So, that’s it. Even when a hate crime hoax is totally made up and concocted, BLM says we must trust the fake victim and simply never ever trust law enforcement. Period. This includes not trusting the video evidence presented at the trial, paper receipts of payments to Smollett’s fake attackers, and things like that. Don’t believe those things.
The smartest guy today has to be Dave Chapelle, one of the few celebrities who saw the entire hoax for what it was from the beginning.
