Video: Ketanji Brown Jackson Can’t Define ‘Woman’ Because She’s ‘Not a Biologist’

Apparently, it takes a degree in Biology to accurately explain what defines “woman” in the year 2022. There are several ways to answer this question that doesn’t require sounding like a brain-dead member of the Woke Brigade. Jackson doesn’t want to give a dictionary definition because that’s not how she views the question of gender. Perhaps the follow-up should have been asking Jackson how many genders there are? She probably would’ve once again said that she’s not a biologist, so she can’t say.

The ironic part is that biology, as explained by the woke mobs among us, has nothing to with gender, it’s supposed to be meaningless, right? Born a male or female? Doesn’t matter, you pick a “gender” because your “sex” at birth is irrelevant.

That’s not what Jackson was asked, however, she was asked by Sen. Marsha Blackburn to define the term “woman” since “man” and “woman” have distinct meanings under the law:

Here’s a definition from, uh, Meriam-Webster, which is still a somewhat legitimate source for defining the words we use every day as far as I know:

Definition of woman
1a: an adult female person

An adult female person? That sounds insanely logical and correct! Why couldn’t Jackson simply give a boilerplate definition for the question of defining woman? Because Jackson, herself, ironically, doesn’t believe in traditional gender constructs as actual biologists do.

The glaring follow-up to this exchange is how Jackson would interpret laws that in particular only affect women? Such as laws intended to provide equal treatment in the workplace or shield a rape survivor, etc…

After all, what is a “woman,” Jackson doesn’t seem to know:

It is a simple question. What is a woman?” Blackburn said in a Wednesday statement to Fox News Digital. “It is telling when a nominee, supported by far-left advocacy groups, will not even answer the question.”

Republican lawmakers from both chambers torched Jackson over her answer as the clip went viral, with Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, posting an eye emoji with the video of the exchange.

“What a world,” Rep. Thomas Massie, R-Ky., lamented in response to the video. “The Supreme Court nominee can’t or won’t offer a definition of ‘woman.’”

Jackson is cool and committed to her left-wing ideology under pressure. She’s been careful to avoid sounding like a far-left ideological judge, which she clearly is, yet has voided throwing her beliefs under the bus.

All of this is happening in the context of current events such as Lia Thomas, the University of Pennsylvania swimmer who competed correctly as a biological male for the first few years of college, then changed genders to compete with females.

Thomas just recently “won” an NCAA swimming event by beating all the girls in the competition. Thomas is a biological male and should not be allowed to compete among female swimmers, any sane person knows this, it’s destroying women’s sports.

In Florida, Gov. Ron DeSantis declared the actual female swimmer who finished in second place behind Thomas to be the true winner of the female competition:

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis issued a proclamation Tuesday that declared the runner-up the “rightful winner” of a 500-yard freestyle competition instead of transgender NCAA champion Lia Thomas.

The Republican governor named University of Virginia freshman Emma Weyant as the champion after she was defeated by Thomas, 22, in the NCAA swimming competition Thursday by 1.75 seconds.

“By allowing men to compete in women’s sports, the NCAA is destroying opportunities for women, making a mockery of its championships, and perpetuating a fraud,” DeSantis wrote on Twitter. “In Florida, we reject these lies and recognize Sarasota’s Emma Weyant as the best women’s swimmer in the 500y freestyle.”

In Ketanji Brown Jackson’s world, however, it would be impossible to distinguish whether a man or woman is competing in the correct gender league.
