Fauci Resigns: Godfather of Lockdowns Set to Leave Before GOP Takes Control of House

Well, that’s convenient timing but almost entirely expected.

If you thought Dr. Anthony Fauci, a.k.a the Lockdown Godfather, was going to sit around well into January waiting for subpoenas and requests to testify before Republican-led committees, you’d be mistaken.

Fauci has no interest in answering for his controversial decisions over the past few years and no interest in appearing accountable before the representatives of the people.

Instead, Fauci announced today that he will be stepping down from all his various positions, giving up his highest-salary-in-government paycheck, and hanging up his stethoscope in December.

That’s a joke, though, when was the last time Fauci touched a stethoscope? He’s a desk doctor, not a practicing doctor.

Nonetheless, Fauci will be out soon leaving behind a wake of destruction in ruined lives, bankrupt businesses, mal-educated children, and a citizenry with no confidence in its public health agencies:

Dr. Anthony Fauci announced Monday that he will step down from his post as director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases and as President Biden’s chief medical adviser in December to “pursue the next chapter” of his career, stressing that he is “not retiring.”

“I am announcing today that I will be stepping down from the positions of Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) and Chief of the NIAID Laboratory of Immunoregulation, as well as the position of Chief Medical Advisor to President Joe Biden,” Fauci said in a statement Monday. “I will be leaving these positions in December of this year to pursue the next chapter of my career.”

“It has been the honor of a lifetime to have led the NIAID, an extraordinary institution, for so many years and through so many scientific and public health challenges,” Fauci said. “I am very proud of our many accomplishments.”

It’s fairly safe to say that Fauci, above anyone else, has done more damage to public health institutions than any other single individual.

Whether it was flip-flopping on numerous topics such as masks, vaccination efficacy, or refusing to discuss where the research grants went that he oversaw at the NIH, Fauci was a primetime bureaucrat if there ever was one.

Fauci was at his best using the government to enrich his own fortunes while playing kingmaker and telling people that it’s “unfortunate” that they’re going bankrupt because he thinks lockdowns need to continue in perpetuity but the liquor stores can stay open.

It was Fauci who originally said masks were unnecessary, then became a mask proponent and eventually a mask hypocrite like most of the Covid zealots.

What Fauci lacked was respect for the American people to provide straight answers and sometimes, if necessary, to admit he didn’t know everything.

Instead, Fauci always knew everything and never felt it was right for anyone to question him, so few people did.

Then again, there was that declaration signed by thousands of medical professionals stating that lockdowns and school closures were doing more harm than good, but what do they know? Fauci said it was all fine.

Fauci would pay no attention to that since he and he alone is the sole arbiter of acceptable positions to take on questions of medicine and public health.

Fauci’s reign saw a cooling of debate among doctors and the enforcement of groupthink up and down the line. If a doctor dared to take a different, medically-informed view than the established view, that doctor would be scoffed at and practically fired.

The vast power handed to Fauci by the Covid-19 pandemic went straight to his head and left little room for anything else.

No debate. No questions, just do what the Doctor [Fauci] orders.
