2022 Midterm Results: How to Watch Election Night, Poll Closing Times

Today is Election Day! It’s Tuesday, Nov. 8 – remember to vote!

Here’s a quick guide on how to watch election night coverage as polls close and race results start trickling in across the country. Since the balance of power in the United States Senate hinges on a handful of races, both on the east and west coasts, it may be fairly late into the evening before the scope and impact of a possible red wave come into focus.

Sufficed to say, the biggest calls of the night will probably come in the hours between 8 pm ET and 11 pm ET. That is the timeframe we should learn more about how the close Senate races in Pennsylvania, Nevada, Arizona, and Georgia are unfolding.
