Before you ask why Donald Trump’s name isn’t on the list, he was invited but declined to attend, according to Forbes:
Former President Donald Trump has told organizers he will not attend a 2024 presidential forum featuring former Fox News host Tucker Carlson. The forum, in Des Moines, Iowa on Friday, is part of the FAMiLY Leadership Summit, which describes itself as “the Midwest’s largest gathering of Christians seeking cultural transformation in the family, church, government and more.”
Republican candidates Ron DeSantis, Mike Pence, Vivek Ramaswamy, Nikki Haley, Tim Scott and Asa Hutchinson have confirmed they will attend the event and be interviewed by Carlson. As of Tuesday morning, the organizer’s website lists Trump, South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem, Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. and President Biden as “invited guests.”
According to Bob Vander Plaats, president of the Family Leader, it was only learned as of Tuesday that Trump would not be attending:
I learned last night that @realDonaldTrump will NOT attend our Leadership Summit this Friday. Thus, our lineup is set: @votetimscott @AsaHutchinson @Mike_Pence @NikkiHaley @VivekGRamaswamy and @RonDeSantis will have visionary, one on one, discussion with @TuckerCarlson #FLS23…

The forum will mark Carlson’s first active foray back into the political scene beyond the Twitter commentary series he’s been producing as of late. It will be interesting to see what kinds of topics Carlson, a noted critic of the war in Ukraine, will focus on that fall outside of the typical Republican orthodoxy.
Live coverage is set to begin around 10 am ET with the forum taking place throughout the morning and afternoon as candidates will each have their individual time with Carlson.
