Devon Archer’s Testimony Dumps Gasoline on the Biden Corruption Fire

On Monday, another close Biden associate provided further testimony to alleged wrongdoings and acts of corruption perpetrated by President Biden and his son, Hunter.

Speaking before the House Oversight Committee in a closed-door hearing, Devon Archer, a former board member of Burisma, the Ukrainian energy company on which Hunter Biden shared a board seat as well, claimed that Joe Biden was directly involved on numerous occasions with his son’s foreign business dealings.

The previous claims made by Joe Biden that he was unaware of anything his son was doing seem more and more far-fetched each day, as National Review reports:

Then-vice president Joe Biden joined Hunter Biden’s business meetings via phone or in person at least 20 times and was sold by his son as “the brand” in overseas business dealings, the younger Biden’s business associate told the House Oversight Committee in closed-door testimony on Monday.

House Oversight Committee chairman James Comer said in a statement Monday that testimony from Devon Archer “confirms Joe Biden lied to the American people when he said he had no knowledge about his son’s business dealings and was not involved.”

Archer worked with Hunter Biden on the board of Ukrainian natural gas firm Burisma Holdings beginning in 2014. The pair went on to found the investment firm Rosemont Seneca together, where Archer served as managing director.

“Joe Biden was ‘the brand’ that his son sold around the world to enrich the Biden family,” Comer adds. “When Joe Biden was Vice President of the United States, he joined Hunter Biden’s dinners with his foreign business associates in person or by speakerphone over 20 times. When Burisma’s owner faced pressure from the Ukrainian prosecutor investigating the company for corruption, Archer testified that Burisma executives asked Hunter to ‘call D.C.’ after a Burisma board meeting in Dubai.”

Democrats are trying to spin Archer’s testimony to mean that Hunter Biden only claimed his father was involved or claimed his father was on the phone when he really wasn’t. In other words, the “mirage of influence” they keep referring to simply means Hunter was acting on his own and pretending his father, the Vice President, was listening in or more closely involved than he really was.

Archer further testified that Burisma, as a company, only stayed afloat because it was attached to the Biden brand:

He told the committee that Hunter Biden’s value on Burisma’s board was “the brand.” Archer said then-vice president Biden was “the brand.”

“Burisma would have gone out of business if ‘the brand’ had not been attached to it,” Archer said, according to the committee.

He testified that the Biden brand helped the company partly because people would have been intimidated to mess with Burisma legally because of the Bidens.

Archer told the committee that the owner of Burisma, Mykola Zlochevsky, and an executive, Vadym Pozharski, pressured the younger Biden to get help from D.C. with Ukrainian prosecutor Viktor Shokin, who was investigating the company for corruption at the time. Hunter Biden and the two Burisma executives “called D.C.” to discuss the matter, according to Archer.

The committee says the testimony “raises concerns that Hunter Biden was in violation of the Foreign Agents Registration Act.”

At the very least, Hunter Biden, and perhaps other Biden family members, are flagrantly in violation of FARA, the Foreign Agents Registration Act. Hunter Biden spent years working on behalf of foreign governments and foreign companies peddling influence into Washington, DC, on various matters of policy.

What is it that these companies were buying from Hunter if not influence up the chain to his father and possibly others around his father?

The smoke from this fire is getting harder and harder for Democrats to ignore or downplay as some kind of neighborhood lemonade stand Hunter was running that Daddy didn’t know anything about.

It’s been continually documented that “the Big Guy,” often referred to in communications between Hunter and other associates, is likely Joe Biden. There is no conceivable reason why Hunter Biden, a man with zero experience in the energy industry or basically anything related to business, would be sitting on the board of a foreign energy company if not for his connection to the Biden name.

Something stinks in the Biden White House and the dirty laundry is coming out.
