After meeting with the former president at Mar-a-Lago earlier this year, the FOP endorsed Trump’s candidacy and invited him to speak at the fall meeting, WBTV reports:
Former President Donald Trump will be back in Charlotte on Friday to speak to leaders of the largest law-enforcement labor organization in the United States.
The appearance comes as the National Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) holds its fall meeting in the Queen City, and after the police organization’s leaders met with Trump at Mar-A-Lago earlier this year.
“He was a great friend to the FOP while president,” Patrick Yoes, National President of the FOP said. “We look forward to hearing from him – and having him hear from us – on the issues important to the rank-and-file officers the FOP represents.”
