Why is Biden Attacking the Border Patrol Instead of Closing the Border?

The ongoing and worsening crisis at the U.S. southern border continues to deteriorate and the Biden administration is doing little to fix the problem. Instead, President Biden personally has attacked Border Patrol Agents over the false narrative that agents on horseback were using some kind of whip to coral and move migrants attempting to enter the country illegally.

The lie all started last week when pictures emerged of what could be construed, wrongly, as an agent on horseback using a whip against a Haitian migrant. The lie quickly caught fire has been repeated ad nauseam traveling around various media outlets. President Biden himself also condemned the actions of the agent despite not knowing the story and not bothering to check.

The entire ordeal is somewhat reminiscent of President Obama accusing police of “active stupidly” during the early years of his first term. Blame law enforcement first, always, then ask no questions later. Vice President Kamala Harris even emerged last week from her hidden bunker to compare the images to “slavery” despite knowing nothing about the situation.

The President immediately blamed the border patrol, which falls in line with similar echoes of blaming law enforcement rather than gathering the facts:

The loaded question aside from ABC News, Biden took the opportunity to blame his own agents for the issue that he created. Biden says “those people will pay,” but pay for what? What did they do other than an attempt to control a situation created by the Biden administration which endangers everyone from border agents to migrants alike?

The photographer of the photo clarified last week that the photo in question does not show migrants being whipped, but rather shows the agent using reigns of the horse to control the horse and prevent injury:

The photographs, which were taken Sunday, appear to show agents on horses with a whip in hand. The photos caused outrage because from certain angles, it appears to show Border Patrol whipping migrants, but photographer Paul Ratje said he and his colleagues never saw agents whipping anyone.

“Some of the Haitian men started running, trying to go around the horses,” Ratje said.

Ratje is a photographer based in Las Cruces and has been in Del Rio since Friday. He said took the photographs from the Mexican side.

“I’ve never seen them whip anyone,” Ratje said. “He was swinging it, but it can be misconstrued when you’re looking at the picture.”

After further examination, it’s entirely clear that no one was being whipped and that Border Patrol agents do not, in fact, use whips or have any kind of whip-like weapon in their arsenal. The Fraternal Order of Police blew up the photo to point out that the migrant in question was being grabbed by the agent on horseback, not whipped:

However, once again we have a situation where Democrats in authority are blaming the police and spewing accusations of racism when a situation they created begins to spiral out of control. The Biden administration has removed all barriers put in place by the previous administration which has created a draw for anyone wishing to migrate north from Central America. Promises of being released are causing tens of thousands of migrants to try and gain access to the United States through the U.S. southern border.

Instead of trying to fix the problem, President Biden naturally attacks law enforcement in agencies that his government is in charge of. Creating an unsafe situation where thousands of people cross the border illegally and must be apprehended by border patrol agents and then complaining when the optics look bad is how these situations unfold for Democrats.

Make no mistake, President Biden is directly responsible for anything that happens at the border and he is directly responsible for these images resulting from a situation that he created and continues to enflame.

Instead of attacking the border patrol, maybe he should try fixing the wide-open border that has been created as a result of his lax policies.

Over the weekend, in an embarrassing acknowledgment of the Biden’s administration failure, Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas said that some 12,000 Haitian migrants have been released into the United States with no Covid test or vaccination:

In an interview with Fox News Sunday, Mayorkas said that approximately 10,000 to 12,000 migrants detained in Del Rio, Texas, in recent weeks have been released into the United States.

Another 3,000 remain in detention, while 5,000 are being processed by the Department of Homeland Security, and in a separate interview with CNN’s State of the Union, he said 4,000 have been expelled under a public health authority known as Title 42.

Mayorkas told Fox News Sunday that the number of migrants released into the United States and returned to Haiti could both “be even higher” as their cases are processed.

What about the Covid status of these 12,000 individuals who have been spread around the country? No tests, no vaccinations, nothing.

The Biden administration is now actively helping to spread Covid-19 and doing nothing about migrants entering the country potentially carrying Covid and other deadly diseases like measles, as seen among groups of Afghan refugees.

The border situation will only continue to get worse with President Biden at the top spewing hatred against his own border patrol agents.
