Full Video: Biden Speech on Foreign Policy, Israel, Ukraine (Oct. 19)

What could go wrong?

President Biden is expected to address the nation tonight with a primetime speech on the war between Israel and Hamas as well as the situation in Ukraine, according to NBC News:

President Joe Biden will deliver a prime-time foreign policy speech to the country on Thursday night, White House officials said Wednesday.

The Oval Office address is scheduled for 8 p.m. ET and will address the administration’s response to Hamas’ terrorist attacks against Israel and Russia’s war in Ukraine. It comes after Biden flew to Tel Aviv on Wednesday pledging his support for Israel in the wake of the sprawling attack carried out by Hamas terrorists this month.

It’s being billed as some kind of foreign policy speech that will tie Ukraine and Israel together somehow. In reality, the two wars are different but do contain some of the same threads. For example, Russia and China are not lining up to Israel’s defense, nor would anyone expect them to since they’re so tied to Iran.

The question is how much moral equivalency Biden will give to Hamas on the world stage. Spoiler alert, probably too much. There is no moral equivalency between an Islamist terror organization and the free democratic nation of Israel. Furthermore, if anyone is being occupied, it’s Gaza being occupied by Hamas.

The danger is that Biden ends up hampering Israel’s efforts by badgering them about tempering their response, a move that sends terrible messages to our allies and foes alike.

Former Speaker of the House and presidential candidate Newt Gingrich has some key questions for Biden:

All great questions. All will likely go untouched and unmentioned by the President tonight. Biden’s foreign policy posture has led the world into one conflict after another. At this rate, expect China to take Taiwan any day now.

Either way, here’s the live stream, tune in at your own risk.
