Poll: More Voters Trust Trump Over Biden on Foreign Policy

Where is Joe Biden’s vast knowledge of foreign policy hiding? The American people can’t seem to find it.

It wasn’t that long ago that an up-and-coming presidential candidate named Barack Obama picked Joe Biden as a running mate to shore up his foreign policy flank. Biden, so they said, was a master of world affairs. It wasn’t true then and it’s not true now. In practice,

Voters have come to realize that on the world stage, Biden is more of a punchline than a serious leader. New numbers from Bloomberg/Morning Consult paint Biden into a corner when it comes to handling the wars in Israel and Ukraine, and dealing with China, reported by The Hill:

The Bloomberg News and Morning Consult Poll found that more voters said they trust Trump to handle relations between the U.S. and China. Forty-six percent said they trust Trump with the issue, while 34 percent said they trust Biden more. Twenty percent of respondents said they didn’t trust either one of them to handle foreign policy with China.

Similarly, 45 percent of respondents said they trust Trump to handle the Russia-Ukraine war. Biden again earned less trust among voters, with 34 percent. Twenty-one percent said neither candidate is trustworthy to handle the war, the poll found.

Forty-three percent said they trust Trump to handle the [Israel-Hamas] war, while 33 percent said they trust Biden with the conflict.

Joe Biden’s domestic agenda is a dumpster fire of inflation and pandering to the far left of his party on things like transgender ideology and abortion. On the foreign policy front, the world seemed much more subdued with Trump in the White House.

What else does Biden have left to offer on the 2024 campaign trail? There has been more war and turmoil on his watch in a few short years than during Trump’s entire presidency.

All of this suffices to say that in a Trump-Biden rematch, the current president is starting at a disadvantage. In 2020, voters could only imagine what a “boring” Biden presidency would look like. Sure, he’s a racist bumbling moron, but he’ll bring decency back to the White House and calm things down, or so he was sold to the American people.

At this point, voters would prefer mean tweets, a strong economy, and a “peace through strength” foreign policy model where America’s enemies are disempowered.
