Election 2024 Winners and Losers: Where Do We Even Begin?

Picking winners and loses from Tuesday’s presidential election could go on forever, but here’s a list of where we should start.

First, the losers because it’s the most joyous part of the list.

Loser: Kamala Harris

Well, obviously she lost the White House to Donald Trump but she lost her dignity along the way. Calling your opponent Hitler because he held a rally in a building that once housed a pro-Nazi rally? Really? This is what the Harris campaign was reduced to in recent weeks. Nothing in the way of policy or ways her administration would differ from the Biden administration, just name-calling and hyperbolic rants about threats to democracy.

In short, the Harris campaign became a caricature of the MSNBC primetime lineup put on tour around the country. Whoever was advising Harris should’ve been fired a long time ago. Then again, maybe she’s just so inept as a politician that she really thinks people should just keep promoting her to higher positions without offering any supporting substance. That was, after all, the way she was bolted onto the Biden campaign as the ultimate diversity hire of all time in 2020.

Harris beclowned herself frequently by painting women (something that the Democratic Party cannot define) as single-issue voters only concerned about abortion. The condescension of assuming that the economy, public safety, or foreign policy were less important than unfettered abortion access is the Democratic foley of the decade.

But wait, are there any bright spots for Harris? Surely she improved on Joe Biden’s performance given her youth and joy?

Take it away, CNN:

That’s right. Kamala Harris’ contribution to this election cycle in terms of improvement over Joe Biden was “literally nothing.”

It’s pretty safe to say that the Kamala Harris train has come to an end. She will not run for national office again. Her last service to the country will be certifying Donald Trump as the next president in January.

Loser: The Democratic Party

Democrats have painted themselves into an electoral box they can’t get out of. For all the talk of Republicans being stuck with Trump (that’s working out fine, thanks), it’s Democrats who cannot organize themselves out of a paper bag. From one bad candidate to another, including Joe Biden, the so-called “party of the working class” has completed its transition into the “party of the coastal elites.”

Voters don’t like to be told what they should care about or told they’re Nazis because they want affordable housing and a better quality of life. While a few unions endorsed Harris, the vast majority of union rank-and-file workers voted for Donald Trump. Whether it’s rampant illegal immigration or green energy policies, it’s pretty clear that Democrats have become the party working against Americans on many levels.

When party loyalists like Robert F. Kennedy Jr. abandon ship and join Trump’s unity ticket, clearly there’s a disconnect. The Democratic Party has become the most anti-democratic apparatus in American politics today with rigged primaries and installed candidates like Harris. Democrats have become the fascists they warn about. It’s Biden’s Department of Justice trying to put Donald Trump in prison despite false claims that it’s Trump who wants to imprison his political enemies.

The “party of democracy” deposed its own sitting President and installed a candidate who received zero votes. How much more anti-democratic can you get?

Will they learn? Doubtful since the virtue signaling is too deep to abandon the lunacy at this point.

Loser: (Most) Polls

Donald Trump is winning Iowa by *checks notes* almost 14 points. There was never a universe where Trump would come close to losing Iowa.

And, yet, on Saturday, the Des Moines Register dropped its final Iowa poll conducted by Ann Selzer showing Kamala Harris winning the state by 3 points:

The graphic must be included to emphasize how much of a laughing stock the polling industry has become.

Here’s Selzer explaining why Harris was going to win Iowa sounding as if she truly believes her own impossible data:

It’s all garbage. It’s all nonsense and it didn’t hold up even among the slightest criticism. Selzer is a rabid Democrat but has tended to keep her data on the straight and narrow. What happened this year is anyone’s guess. Did she sell out to produce a suppression poll? Did she really botch it this badly on accident? Who knows. Either way, strike her off the list of trusted sources when it comes to electoral politics.

But there are plenty of examples to cite when it comes to a polling miss in this cycle. In Michigan, several polls saw a tie but only two predicted a Trump victory. Then there are states like Florida where Trump is set to win by 14 points. Some polls actually saw the Sunshine State in play for Harris or within low single digits, a scenario that was never remotely possible.

Now that we have early voting data to examine based on party registration in the weeks running up to Election Day, opinion polls are quickly losing their impact and almost become laughable at a point.

Loser: Allan Lichtman

Despite endlessly screaming out his “13 Keys to White House” being turned in favor of Kamala Harris, the jig is up for the American University professor and his entirely subjective keys that predict nothing.

Weeks ago, Lichtman predicted that only Kamala Harris had the magic to turn the keys and win:

Lichtman continued to double down, and why wouldn’t he? It’s not like he’s going to abandon his own method but at some point it becomes absurd. The man was enjoying having his ego stroked up until Election Day:

Oops, guess not, Professor.

Winner: Donald Trump

The list of winners could go on but let’s face it, Trump is the phoenix rising from the political ashes like no one else.

Just a few years ago his career was pronounced dead as Democrats tried to put him in jail over the Capital Hill protest on January 6, 2021. That’s all ancient history with Americans fed up over Biden’s failures to the point that they wanted Trump back in charge.

The man who Democrats have spent the better part of a decade trying to destroy with fake scandals, fake indictments, and actual bullets is still standing and ready to enter the Oval Office once again.

What an amazing point in history to be witnessing.
