Breaking: Trump Selects Robert F. Kennedy Jr. For HHS Secretary

Just when all of Washington was still in a collective nosedive over the nomination of Matt Gaetz as Attorney General, President-elect Trump dropped another nuclear bomb on the entrenched bureaucracy.

This time it’s confirmation that Trump is nominating Robert F. Kennedy Jr. to head the Department of Health and Human Services with the stated goal of ending the chronic disease epidemic and restoring health standards to the American diet:

“For too long, Americans have been crushed by the industrial food complex and drug companies who have engaged in deception, misinformation, and disinformation when it comes to Public Health,” Trump wrote in his announcement, making rare use of his X account to broadcast a cabinet pick.

“The Safety and Health of all Americans is the most important role of any Administration, and HHS will play a big role in helping ensure that everybody will be protected from harmful chemicals, pollutants, pesticides, pharmaceutical products, and food additives that have contributed to the overwhelming Health Crisis in this Country. Mr. Kennedy will restore these Agencies to the traditions of Gold Standard Scientific Research, and beacons of Transparency, to end the Chronic Disease epidemic, and to Make America Great and Healthy Again!”

It cannot be overstated how much of a blow this is to the health industrial complex that brought us COVID-19 and years of mismanagement when it comes to disease and health guidelines.

Among his views, it’s Kennedy’s skeptical take on the increasing number of childhood vaccinations that will make him a lightning rod in the Senate:

While Republicans will have 53 votes in the next Congress, Kennedy’s vocal opposition to childhood vaccinations will make for a contentious confirmation process.

RFK Jr. ran for president in 2024 — first as a Democrat and then as an independent — vowing to change health habits in America, bashing Big Pharma and the food industry. He and his running mate Nicole Shanahan questioned the need for some vaccines and the impacts they had on the body, and were publicly confused about their ticket’s abortion platform.

American children have never been less healthy than they are right now in terms of chronic disease and food allergies. Clearly, something has gone wrong when it comes to the typical path of healthcare that most children are put on from the moment they’re born. Is it too many vaccinations? Is it chemicals in food? Maybe we should find out and encourage asking hard questions instead of telling everyone to shut up.

It took a Republican to put a Kennedy back in the executive branch, something that RFK says he prayed for daily:

Buckle up! It’s gonna be a fun nomination process!
