Video: Kash Patel Gave a Masterclass on Crushing Democrat Lies

Of all the confirmation hearings this week, that of Kash Patel to lead the FBI was perhaps the most entertaining. Patel went into the hearing with almost unanimous backing from Republicans, meaning he could speak much more freely than someone like Tulsi Gabbard or RFK Jr., for example.

Here’s a bit of Patel’s opening statement laying out where he stands and his intention to restore respect to a once-lauded federal institution:

Patel delivered when it came to smacking down lies from every Democratic Senator bent on contorting his words or shaming him over comments related to January 6. Beyond that, Democrats were worried that Patel might politicize the Justice Department to the point the agency is only interested in attacking political enemies of the President. If that isn’t the pot calling the kettle black, I don’t know what is.

It’s a topic that Patel addressed many times throughout the hearing. Under his leadership, Patel clearly states, the agency will return to politically neutral and focus solely on law enforcement rather than the direct targeting of citizens who hold views contrary to the Democratic Party:

Sen. Josh Hawley brought up the FBI’s targeting of groups based on religion, a practice that became common during the prior administration:

Sen. Amy Klobuchar, who has been accused of abusing her staff, didn’t know how to respond at some points to Patel’s vigorous defense of his own words and views:

In the end, Patel drove it home hard and kept the moral high ground throughout the entire hearing as Democrats lined up to hurl insults and lies at him:

Patel should have no problem moving forward out of committee and to an eventual confirmation by the full Senate. He won’t get any Democratic votes, and that’s fine, he doesn’t need them.
