CNN/CBS Flash Polls: America Loved President Trump’s Speech

What more can be said?

President Trump’s first official address to a Joint Session of Congress was a homerun, maybe even a grand slam. One way to tell is that Democrats hated it, of course, but what’s new? Anything good for America and good for Americans generally stands against the Democratic Party platform nowadays.

Viewers were not even remotely split according to post-speech polls released by CBS and CNN. They overwhelmingly viewed the speech as positive and offered solid approval overall:

What’s the takeaway? President Trump offers a positive vision for the country, while Democrats are generally bitter about everything. They held up stupid signs that made them look petty and childish, as if anyone cared what the loser party thinks after running the country into the ground:

That’s what the Democratic Party has become in 2025. They vote against protecting women’s sports on Monday and then wear pink the next night to… stand up for women’s rights? Are they on drugs? They cannot win by opposing everything Trump supports, it’s illogical and akin to political suicide on the national stage.

Maybe this play on their signs is more accurate:

No, it’s not real, but it should be.

Enough about the whiny Dems. They’re little more than a footnote right now while America moves on to bigger and brighter days.

Here are a few clips from some key moments of Trump’s speech, which ran a cool 100 minutes in length. You can watch the full version here or catch a few clips below:

Then there was 13-year-old DJ Daniels, who became an honorary member of the Secret Service, something else Democrats couldn’t bother to cheer for:

This was also a fun moment when a West Point Applicant was told that his application to attend was accepted:

Even cooler, little DJ Daniels came over to tap him on the shoulder and give him a high-five. These are moments neither child will soon forget, nor will the country that desperately seeks unity and shared success.

Finally, here are some more polling tidbits from CBS/YouGov that asked a wider array of questions:

Is this even a contest right now? Are Democeats playing on the same field?
