Video: Michele Bachmann formally announces her candidacy

Last night during the CNN New Hampshire Republican debate, Minnesota Congresswoman Michele Bachmann took the opportunity on stage during the debate to announce that she will indeed run for president in 2012. She had all-but declared that she would seek the presidency, however, had not officially filed.

Bachmann struggled to stand out in the debate last night, however, she did deliver several applause lines speaking on some red meat conservative topics. She’ll have a tough time carrying the nomination given her status as a Representative in a year when Republicans seem to be looking for Governors as their possible nominee.
